Wardrobes, cabinets, TV cabinets, shoe cabinets... everyone's home gathers various cabinets with different functions. However, many people consider the layout, materials, and style when designing these cabinets, but often overlook the "little thing" of hinges. The reason why cabinet doors can be flexibly opened and closed is entirely supported by this' little thing '. And different cabinet doors have different hinges. So, what are the types of hinges? How to choose? Let's take a look together below.
What are the types of hinges? This distinction is very simple
According to the cover position relationship between the cabinet door and the side panel, hinges are generally divided into full cover, half cover, and inner cover.
1. The middle connecting part of the full cover hinge is a straight arm (straight bend), which is used when the cabinet door covers all the side panels.
2. The middle part of the half cover hinge has a bulging curved shape, which is the forearm (middle bend). When the cabinet door covers half of the side panel and two cabinet doors share one side panel, use a half cover hinge.
3. The bending amplitude of the middle part of the inner cover hinge is greater than that of the half cover hinge, that is, the large arm (large bend). When the cabinet door is embedded with a side panel and the door panel is flush with the side panel, use an internal cover hinge.
